Sunday, April 13th / 2:30 pm
This year’s production opens with a dynamic first act showcasing multi-genre works choreographed by Creative Director Maxx Reed, Teaching and Performing Artist Catherine Barkley-Prado, and guest artists Elizabeth Corbett O’Malley (formerly of the Frankfurt Ballet), Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba (Movement Migration and the José Limón Dance Company), and Dominique Willis (Movement Migration) featuring an ensemble of both student and professional performers.
In an exciting conclusion to the evening, New Ballet boldly reimagines the classic Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, originally composed by Richard Rodgers. Under the direction of Maxx Reed, this production takes on a Memphis twist, transforming the story’s setting to the iconic Peabody Hotel—introducing Slaughter at the Peabody.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door at the Buckman Performing and Fine Arts Center, 60 Perkins Extd.
SpringLoaded is sponsored by The Peabody Memphis
