Ever wondered about the chirping bird or what flower is blooming next to the trail? Curious about the lizards that bask in the sun or the colorful fungi that grow on the logs? Join Overton Park Conservancy staff and volunteers in Nature 101 walks! These guided group walks in the Old Forest in Overton Park will help beginners identify the wildlife and plants living in the heart of Memphis. Choose from birds, plants, insects, fungi, and reptiles/amphibians. Walks are pay-what-you-can, with a recommended fee of $5 per person. Registration includes take-home field guide and use of materials (binoculars/magnifying glass), if applicable.
