Memphis Botanic Garden

The Memphis Botanic Garden is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to being an exemplary center for horticulture and environmental enrichment. Serving over 40,000 school-aged children annually, and hosting over 260,000 visitors each year, Memphis Botanic Garden strives to enhance lives by connecting people with nature, increasing awareness and appreciation of our environment. The 96-acre property includes 30 specialty gardens, a TUFC Level 4 & ArbNet Level 2 Arboretum, a 2.5-acre children’s garden, and an outdoor event amphitheater.

Mudpie Mondays at Memphis Botanic Garden

Fall Tram Tours at Memphis Botanic Garden

Enjoy a tram tour of our 96-acre garden with a different theme each month, free with Garden admission. Our tram will leave the station approximately every 25 minutes, depending upon daily attendance and events. The tram is first come, first served and canceled if raining. Look for the “Wait Here” tram tours sign outside and to the right of our Four Seasons Court to hop on. A special thank you to Town Village Audubon Park and the HW Durham Foundation. Free with Garden admission. No registration necessary.

Caterpillar Club Fall 2026: Sense of Adventure - Memphis Botanic Garden **Semester starts on Sept 8!

Join us at the Garden for Pre-K fun this fall! Parents (or grandparents, aunts, uncles, or nannies) accompany their toddler or preschooler (ages 2-5) as they share stories, play games, create crafts, and explore the natural world. Led by Kristen Zemaitis, Formal Youth Education Coordinator. Caterpillar Club is one of the few preschool adventures in Memphis that gets your little one discovering nature, hands-on, in the great outdoors. Caterpillar Club meets 10-11 am; choose either Tuesday or Wednesday sessions for the entire semester (twice a month, September through November). Space is limited and fills up quickly, sign up today!

Homeschool Days Fall 2026 - Memphis Botanic Garden **Semester starts on Sept 14!

Join us for hands-on nature activities and learning that supplement your homeschool curriculum for children ages 6 and up. $60 MBG Members/$80 Non-Members. Price is per child participant for the semester, which includes the four sessions shown on our website. Adults who accompany their child will need to pay Garden admission upon entry to the Garden. Adults must stay on campus and check in the student at the front desk upon arrival.

Fall Plant Sale - Memphis Botanic Garden

Join us for the Fall Plant Sale at the Garden, where plant shopping meets expert advice. Our plant pros are ready to help you pick winners for your yard, porch, patio, or windowsill. Shop a thoughtfully curated selection perfectly suited for the Mid-South including natives, trees & shrubs, herbs, annuals, pollinator favorites, woodland ephemerals, houseplants, tropicals, and more. Plus we’ll have pumpkins! The Fall Plant Sale Preview Party for guests ages 21 and older will take place on Wednesday, September 30, from 4 to 7 pm. Advanced tickets are required. MBG Members can shop exclusively on Thursday, October 1, from 10 am to 12 pm. The sale will be open to the public on Thursday, October 1, from 12 to 6 pm; Friday, October 2, from 10 am to 6 pm; and Saturday, October 3, from 10 am to 6 pm.
