Lafayette's Music Room

Once again, Historic Lafayette’s Music Room is the spot to enjoy the best live music in town, and some great food! The original Lafayette’s Music Room was short-lived but still vividly remembered. During the 1970s, it was a small but influential venue rooted in the most happening corridor of Memphis. A key stop on the showcase circuit for up-and-coming touring artists, Lafayette’s played a significant role in launching the careers of such music superstars as Billy Joel, KISS, Big Star, Barry Manilow, J.J. Cale and Leon Russell, to name a few. Today’s Lafayette’s Music Room evokes that storied past. It hosts the best live acts playing rock ‘n roll to jazz to blues and everything in between. Lafayette’s Music Room once again is a staple for all great music fans, and a place where new legends are being made.
