Building Resilience: Confronting Life’s Challenges and Bouncing Back
Creating the Structure to Forge Positive Connections
As students cope with the pandemic, and an ever-changing school environment, there are ways and strategies in which parents can open conversations with their children to help tap into their resiliency. We will engage in a discussion about:
• Coping with stress and the ability to recover
• Encouraging self-reflection
• Supporting their ability to re-imagine themselves
• Demonstrating flexibility
• Creating a positive home environment, a personal sanctuary
• Encouraging parents to model positive behaviors
• Being mindful that your children watch what you do
