The Debate Spaces Academy is a free online program designed to empower young people with debate skills while engaging with real-world issues in a global community.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Debate Spaces empowers young people to advocate for themselves and their communities by cultivating critical thinking, empathy, and confidence through cross-cultural debate education.

The Debate Spaces Academy is a free online program which meets once per month on a Saturday from 9:30am-12pm US Eastern Time (New York). Sessions are designed as standalone programs such that students will have an enriching experience regardless of whether they are attending their first or fiftieth Debate Spaces Academy. Each session focuses on a debate skill and a real-world issue, and students self-select into different groups based on their interests and experience. In September, we’ll be focusing on the skills of building arguments and public speaking while engaging with debates about immigration.
