33rd Annual ASBEE World Kosher BBQ Contest and Festival

The ASBEE Kosher BBQ Contest and Festival continues a beloved tradition of more than three decades that was started by Anshei Sphard-Beth El Emeth Congregation. Other cities have attempted to replicate the formula developed in Memphis, but ours remains the original and is considered the world championship of kosher BBQ. Join us for an exciting day of competition, great food, camaraderie and fun for the whole family!

Nearly 40 BBQ teams will compete for top honors in the beef brisket, beef ribs, chicken and beans categories. Prizes will also be awarded for creativity in team name and booth design, as well as overall BBQ grand champion. Want to put your grill skills to the test? Register your BBQ team online by Aug. 1 at baronhirsch.org/BBQTeam.
The event will also feature a basketball tournament, kosher pickle eating contest, children’s activities (including a petting zoo, face painting, train rides, bounce house and more) and delicious kosher food for sale from our Cowsher Café.
